Sizes and Shapes - Endless Options

Unlike metal components, carbon fiber tubing can economically be made into any size or shape, whether for one part, or thousands of parts.  It all starts with the tooling, typically on the inside of the tube, and then layers of material are added to the tool to create virtually any wall thickness.  This is very different than metal in which tube sizes are generally restricted to stock sizesAnd, with carbon fiber tubing, it is rather easy to make a tapered tube or one with varying wall thickness.

Carbon Fiber Prepreg - High Performance and Quality

The majority of the carbon fiber tubes produced here are made using multiple layers of unidirectional (UD) carbon fibers in an epoxy resin. This form of carbon fiber is called prepreg, where the carbon fibers are pre-impregnated (prepreg) with an epoxy resin.

UD carbon fiber prepreg is used because it ensures the best properties possible of carbon fiber tubing in terms of strength and stiffness, and it is also a cost effective form of carbon fiber. This provides the best value in carbon fiber tubing - bar none.

Carbon fiber fabric prepreg is also used extensively, mainly on the exterior of the carbon fiber tubing for aesthetic and cosmetic reasons.

Engineered Products

We have developed our own custom, proprietary software that allows us to design carbon fiber tubing tubes at the click of a mouse. This enables accurate and optimized design of straight and tapered composite tubing, where we can determine part weights, dimensions, stiffness and strengths before ever making a physical part. This reduces design and prototyping time, while providing our clients with solutions in days, instead of weeks or months.

Made in the USA

All of our carbon fiber tubing is produced in-house at our facility in Duluth, MN.  Production capabilities include one-off prototype tubes to supply of hundreds or thousands of carbon fiber tubing.
